Funeral services for Mrs. Kenneth (Byrla) File, 56 of Cherokee were held this morning (Wednesday) in Bethlehem Lutheran church there with Rev. Delmar Carlson officiating. Burial was in Oak Hill cemetery under the direction of Greenwood Funeral Home.

She died Sunday, March 25, at her home of an apparent heart attack.

Byrla Tronnes was born October 18, 1927, in George. On June 4, 1950, she married Kenneth File in Rock Rapids. They moved to Cherokee in 1958.

She had worked as secretary-clerk for the Cherokee division of the state patrol for 15 years.

Survivors include the widower; six daughters, Mrs. Larry (Debra) Salzwedel, Mankato, Minn., Mrs. Douglas (Rhonda) Ellens, Sartel, Minn., Mrs. LaVerne (Sheila) Schossow, Sioux City, Mrs. Karla Perrin and Dana File, both of Cherokee, and Krista File, Mankato, Minn.; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Tronnes, Sheldon; a sister, Mrs. Les (Marion) Brommer, Sioux Center, a brother, Richard, Davenport, and eight grandchildren.
