Obituary: Inwood, IA: Violet Bahnson, 91, of Inwood, died Wednesday June 22. 2011 at Fellowship Village, Inwood.
Funeral Service will be 10:30 am Wednesday June 29 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Inwood.
Burial at Our Saviors Lutheran Cemetery.
Violet was born November 15, 1919 at Larchwood, IA. daughter of Alfred and Anna (Snartemo) Jacobson. She attended country school and graduated Inwood High School.

Violet taught country school near Little Rock, IA before she married Vernon Bahnson on May 15, 1941 at the Little Brown Church at Nashau. IA. They lived NW edge of Inwood. Violet was parish secretary at Bethlehem Lutheran Church and then was Deputy Recorder for Lyon County until her retirement. Violet enjoyed sewing and rosemaling; genealogy, and traveling especially in Norway. Vernon died January 29, 1981.

Surviving relatives include her son Rodney (Jean) Bahnson of Casa Grande, AZ; grandson Dean
(Candice) Bahnson and their girls, Tricia and Anna all of Longmont, CO; sister, Donna Mae
(Ernest) Tyler of Sioux Falls. SD.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon; brothers, Francis, Floyd, and Mark Jacobson; sisters, Avis and Joan Jacobson.
