Obituary: Inwood, IA: Mary Ranschau, 84, died Friday, August 26, 2011 at Fellowship Village, Inwood. Funeral Service will be 11 am Tuesday at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Inwood.
Burial at Larchwood Cemetery with Rev. John Wolf officiating.

Mary Louise Wilder was born October 18, 1926 in Kahlotus, WA, daughter of Lewis and Elsie (Dettman) Wilder. She grew up in Kahlotus, WA and lived there for 22 years. Mary was united in marriage to Walter Ranschau on January 2, 1949 in Lind, WA. Together they farmed north of Inwood, IA. Mary drove school bus for 27 years at West Lyon Community School. She was a longtime member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Inwood. Mary enjoyed sewing, crocheting, quilting, cooking, gardening, flowers, attending children’s and grandchildren’s activities. Mary moved to Fellowship Village on November 19, 2004.

Mary is survived by her husband of 62 1/2 years, Walter; her children: David (Becky) Ranschau of Ellsworth, MN, Norman (Shireen) Ranschau of Sioux Falls, SD, Karen (Willard) Hulstein of Rock Valley, IA, Eileen Bartscher of Sioux Falls, SD, Ruth (Kevin) Hoogeveen of Orange City, IA, Alice (Doug) Zonnefeld of Sanborn, IA, Lois (Jerry) Vreeman of Sheldon, IA, Lori (Kevin) Kerns of Rolfe, IA and Mark (Amy) Ranschau of Merrill, IA; multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters: Ella Conner of Vancouver, WA, Emma Suhr of Kennewick, WA and Betty Martin of Joshua Tree, CA.
Mary was preceded in death by her son, Paul Ranschau; grandchildren: Anne, John, Mary and Christopher Ranschau; son-in-law, David Bartscher; brother, Julius Wilder.
