Inwood, Iowa -- Rev. Terry Poe, 67, of Inwood, died Friday at Fellowship Village after a long battle with Parkinson's Disease. Funeral Service will be 10:30 am Monday at New Life Assembly of God Church, Inwood. Burial at Richland Cemetery, Inwood. Visitation will be Sunday with the family present 6-8 pm at New Life Assembly of God Church. Porter Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Terry Allan Poe was born May 16, 1943 in Aurora, Illinois, son of Jesse and Marietta (Larson) Poe. He accepted Jesus Christ into his life at Open Bible camp grounds at the age of 17. He was called into ministry shortly after camp and graduated from Open Bible College in Des Moines, Iowa, in 1968. He was united in marriage to Sandra Jo Boyer on April 6, 1968 at the Open Bible Church in Belvidere, Illinois.

He Pastored at his first church in White Salmon, WA with several Pastorate positions in between and held an Associate position for 10 years in Portland, OR. Terry started as Pastor of New Life Assembly of God Church, Inwood, IA in 1982. He was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease and later resigned from the Inwood church in 1985. Terry and his wife, Sandy, were on the Evangelistic field from 1997-2000. He has resided at Fellowship Village Nursing Home, Inwood, for 11 years.

Survivors include his wife, Sandy; daughter, Shae (Dean) Kindle and their children: Esther and Ben all of St Paul, MN; son, Shawn Poe of Belle Ville, IL and his daughters: Alisha and Gabriella and their mother Doreen; sisters: Fae Bowersox of Portland, OR, Rita (Ron) Riley of Springfield, OH, Cheryl (Lee) Qualls of Pasadena, CA; and many nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents.
