Johann Henry Meyn, 70, resident of this community for many years, took his own life in the Meyn home here sometime Sunday night or early Monday morning. Mr. Meyn's body was found by his step-sister Dora Meyn, and Henry Stubbe at about 8:30 on Monday morning, hanging from the stairway in the Meyn home. He spent the night alone as his sister was helping at the sick bed of a neighbor during the night.

Funeral services will be held from the George Funeral Home on Friday afternoon of this week
Johann Henry Meyn, son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Meyn, was born April 12, 1880, in Cadenberge, Germany. At the age of five he came to America with his parents. He was confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran church by the late Rev. Baetke. Due to a physical handicap his work was confined to light jobs at which he kept busy a good share of the time.

He leaves to mourn three sisters, Mrs. Maggie Kruse, Mrs. Mary Wormke, Mrs. Minnie Ryelts and a step-sister Dora Meyn, besides many other relatives and friends.
