Rev. Loren Ziegler

Rev. Loren Ziegler died Monday, February 12, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. G.D. Stout, Ellendale, ND., at the age of 77. The remains were brought to George and interred in the cemetery of the Hope Reformed church.

The deceased man was born February 24, 1846, in Germany. In 1872 he sailed for America. After a theological education at Sheboygan, Wis., he was ordained a minister in 1874. That year he married Bertha Kemper, and this union was blessed by nine children.

For forty four years he served as pastor, his last charge being at the Hope Reformed church north of George. Old age and poor eyesight compelled him to resign in 1917, and he spent his last years with his daughter. His wife died in December 1917.
