Susan “Susie” Frances Brehe, the daughter of Charles Arthur and Patricia (Berkner) Booth was born January 15, 1963 in Denver, Colorado, where she received her education and graduated from Colorado Technical Institute. Susie was united in marriage to Doug Blumeyer on November 20, 1989 in Denver, Colorado. The couple made their home in Matlock, Iowa. Susie had been employed as a hostess at the Holiday Inn in Mason City, Iowa. On April 1, 2000, Susie married Alex Brehe in Clear Lake, Iowa and the couple lived in George, Iowa. She had been working as a waitress at the J&B Bar in Sheldon. Susie passed away on Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at the Light House in Sioux Center, Iowa reaching the age of 47 years and 4 days.

Susie was a member of the Hope Lutheran Church in Sioux Center and at Immanuel Lutheran in George. She was a people person; she enjoyed helping the public by waitressing. She also enjoyed cooking, needlepoint, crocheting, reading and spending time with her granddaughter.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Alex of George; her three daughters, Brittany Ann Blumeyer of Sheldon; Payge Louise Blumeyer of Archer; Erica Lee Blumeyer of George; a granddaughter, Makiah Lynn Blumeyer; a brother, Lon Winkler; two step brothers, Charles Arthur Booth of Aurora, Colorado; Theodore Booth of Washington, D.C.; two half sisters, Sherri and Dawn; in addition to numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

She will be sorely missed by all who knew her for her sweet temperament and her willingness to help people in need.
