Ebe Joesten Ebben died Tuesday, March 27, 1923, at George. His death came the day before his birthday.

He was born in Germany March 28, 1865. On October 10, 1890, he was united in marriage to Freedkea Van Briesen. They came to America in 1891. For many years they lived near the First Presbyterian church southeast of George and later on the Martin Freerks farm northwest of George About four years ago they moved onto their own farm four-and-a-half miles southeast of George. Death came after he had contracted a severe cold which developed into heart trouble.

He leaves his wife and two daughters, Anna and Hattie, all of whom were too ill to attend the funeral services, and three sons, Fred, Joe and Ben. Funeral services were held at the First Presbyterian church Friday, Rev. F. J. Beving being assisted by Rev. George Uden and Rev. J. Rops. Interment was in the church cemetery.
