Mrs. John B. Stubbe, Sr., who suffered a paralytic stroke Tuesday of last week, passed away on Tuesday afternoon of this week, about 2:30 o'clock. Her condition had been very critical during the week and little hope was held for her recovery.
Mrs. Stubbe, whose maiden name was Trientje Sprock, was born in Nieuwbeerta, Netherlands, July 29, 1862. She was married to John B. Stubbe in 1888, and in 1893 they came to America and settled in the vicinity of George. About eleven yeas ago, they moved to town and have been living here ever since.

She leaves to mourn her departure her husband, her children, Mrs. Peter Huisman of Adrian, Minn., Mrs. Louis Peters, Mrs. John Schneiderman, Mrs. George Kruger, Mrs. Harm Krull, Ben Stubbe and Charles Stubbe, all of George; 35 grandchildren, four great grandchildren and on living brother. One child in infancy, preceded her death.
The funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at the Hope Reformed church, following the servics at the home, which will begin at one o'clock. Rev. P. Koenen will have charge.
