Funeral services were held Friday, January 2, for Charlie Busch. Mr. Busch died Tuesday, January 3, at his home in Rock Rapids. He was 62 years, seven months and five days old at the time of his death.
Rev. Paul L. Huscher officiated at the services in the Methodist church and burial was made at Riverview cemetery. Lockwood's were in charge of arrangements.
Born in 1888
Charlie Busch son of Koob and Anna Busch, was born at Allison, Iowa May 28,1888. While yet a small boy, he moved with his parents to a farm south of Rock Rapids, and he had made his home in this vicinity ever since. He retired from the farm two years ago and move to Rock Rapids.
He was united in marriage to Helen DeHaan, January 5, 1916. Four children were born to this union; Helen (Mrs. Alvin Hassebroek) of Little Rock; Florence, at home; and Lucille (Mrs. Ernest Huismann) of Rock Rapids. A son died in early infancy.
Beside his wife and daughters he is surivived by a sister, Mrs. Margaret Moon of Rock Rapids; and three brothers, George and Koob of Rock Rapids, and Ted of Ellsworth, Minn. There are five grandchildren, Charles, Leo, Charlene, and Linda Huismann, and Marlene Hassebroek.

(The obituary actually says funeral services were held on January 2 and he died on January 3. However, the death certificate says he died on January 3, 1951 and was buried January 5, 1951.)
