A young Rock Rapids' farmer, Ernest Huisman, died suddenly Sunday afternoon while visiting with his family at the home of a sister at Kenneth, Minn. Death was attributed to a heart attack.
Funeral services for the 41-year old man will be held Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 at Lockwood Jongewaard Funeral chapel, followed by a 2 o'clock rites at the Methodist church. The Rev. Everett Major will officiate and Interment will be in Riverview Cemetary under direction of Lockwood Jongewaard Funeral home.

Mr. Huisman was born at Milbank, S.Dak.,Dec 25,1918. He married Lucille Busch of Rock Rapids on Dec. 10,1941 at Rushmore, Minn. Following his return from service at the end of World War II, the couple began farming south of Rock Rapids and have lived on the Busch homeplace for the past ten years.
Surviving are the widow; three sons, Charles, Leo and Lawrence and three daughters, Charlene, Linda and Charlotte, all at home. Two brothers, Wilard and John at Adrian, Minn; and two sisters, Mrs. Etta Ackerman of Kenneth, and Mrs. Leona Reitter of Adrian, also survive.

His parents preceded him in death, his mother passing away just one year ago on Sunday following Thanksgiving.

Mr. Huisman was a veteran of World War II and a member of the First Methodist church in Rock Rapids.
