All friends and acquaintances hereby the sad message that the Lord, according to His all wide decision has been pleased to remove from our side, on the 31st of March, 1898, my dear wife and the children’s beloved mother and grandmother, Hilke Heidebrink, born Siebering.

The departed was born on the 9th of May, 1837, at Simonswolde, Ostfriesland and reached therefore the age of nearly 61 years. While her days were relatively short and her affliction severe, she was content in her patient devotion that she demonstrated continually in the joyful testimony in the unfaltering hope of everlasting life by reason of the blood of her Savior which laid Him aside.

Therefore, in our sorrow is the sweet comfort to know that our loss is her blessed going. This thought soothes our grief.

The burial occurred on the 2nd of April, 1898 among a large gathering upon the cemetery of the Hope Reformed congregation. The pastors G. Veenker and W. T. Janssen conducted the funeral; the latter held the message over the words of Holy Scripture, Psalm 16:11 “Thou wilt show me the path of life: in they presence is fullness of joy: at thy right hand there are pleasures forevermore.”

This notice is brought by the grieving husband, Thomas Heidebrink, with children and grandchildren, George, Lyon county, Iowa, 9 April, 1898
