Glenn Jackson, 70, of Inwood died Thursday, April 12, 2001, at Sioux Valley Hospital, Sioux Falls, S.D.

Services were Monday at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Inwood, with interment in Richland Cemetery.

Mr. Jackson was born March 25, 1931, at Madison, S.D., the son of Lloyd and Julia (Apple) Jackson. He grew up on a farm near Wentworth, S.D., before the family moved to Madison in 1942. He graduated from Madison High School in 1951. He served in the navy four years, enlisting in December 1951.

He received a bachelors degree in education from Dakota State College, Madison, then taught high school at Philip and Harrisburg, S.D. He then earned a masters degree in psychology from the University of South Dakota, Vermillion.

On April 10, 1968, he married Beverly (Bye) Moen in Harrisburg. He taught at West Lyon Community School, retiring as a guidance counselor in 1995 after 35 years in education. The couple owned and operated Glennwood Inn Cafe in Inwood from 1974-1995.

He was a member of American Legion and VFW.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Marshall of Blaire, Neb., Brian of Sioux Falls and David of Inwood; one daughter, Marsha Kathman of Hastings, Neb., and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, infant daughter, Glenda, and two brothers, Morris and Dale.
