Obituary:
Inwood, Iowa - Betty Pedersen, 83, died Friday, March 20, 2009 at Fellowship Village, Inwood. Funeral service will be 11 a.m., Monday at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Inwood. Visitation will be Sunday with family present from 3 - 4:30 p.m. at Porter Funeral Home, Inwood.

Betty Lou Schlumbohm was born March 4, 1926 to Herman and Marie (Moeller) Schlumbohm in Alvord, Iowa. Betty worked for the telephone company until 1947.

She was united in marriage to Leo Pedersen on August 31, 1947 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Inwood. Betty also worked at Neal Boresma's Grocery Store, as a postal clerk, dental assisting Dr. Foss and Model Market from 1975 - 1976.

She moved to Fellowship Village in February of 2007. Betty enjoyed baking, decorating cakes and sewing quilts for grandchildren.

Betty is survived by her husband Leo; sons: Dan (Barbara) Pedersen of Inwood and Mike (Lisa) Pedersen of Roy, Utah; daughters: Cindy (Jerry) Van Voorst of Inwood and Mary (Jeff) Grotewold of Larchwood, Iowa; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brother, Wally Schlumbohm of Burrton, KS; sister, Viola Childress of Inwood.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers: Richard and Harold Schlumbohm; sisters: Evelyn Schlotfeldt and Fern Nelson
