Funeral Services were held October 13, 1955 at Little Rock, Iowa for Mrs. Michael Karcher, 98, one of Lyon County’s oldest residents.

Mrs. Karcher passed away at her home in Little Rock, on Tuesday, October 11. The services were held at the Karcher home with Rev. Thaden officiating.

Mrs. Karcher was born in January, 1857 in St. Jacobs, Waterloo country, Ontario, Canada. She came to Iowa in 1889 and farmed near Mason city and moved to Little Rock in 1895.

She was married in 1880 and to this union four sons and three daughters were born. Three sons preceded her in death, and her husband passed away in 1937.

She leaves to mourn her death one son, Ed Karcher, of Des Moines and three daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Schulze of Welcome, Minnesota, Mrs. Adeline Raymond, of Little Rock and Mrs. Clara Bramley of Creeman, Saskatchewan, Canada. Also several grandchildren, great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
