Funeral services were held at Hoffman, South Dakota, on Monday, April 3, 1961, for Mrs. Henry Meyer, 67, a former George, Iowa, resident, who passed away on March 30 at her home near Hoffman, suffering with a heart attack.

Services were held in the Zion Lutheran church and interment was made in the Zion cemetery, Rev. H. Hoffman officiating.

Dena Denakas, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Denakas, was born April 23, 1893 at George, Iowa. She was married December 15, 195 to Henry Meyer at George. Mr. and Mrs. Meyer lived for a long time in Iowa and North Dakota before moving to Hoffman to make their home in 1935.

Survivors are her husband, Henry Meyer of Hoffman, South Dakota; a daughter, Mrs. Carle Pansy-Nibbe of Hoffman and two sons: Arthur and Ervin Meyer of Hoffman. She also leaves 13 grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Ollie Groen of rural Sibley, Iowa, and Mrs. A. F. Damann of Ruthton, Minnesota.

Relatives and friends attending the services were from Sibley, George, Rock Rapids, Doon and Alvord, Iowa, Ruthton, Pipestone, Balaton, Donnelly, Norcross, Herman, Barrett, Alexandria and Elbow Lake, Minnesota.
