Ralph Denekas was born June 29, 1917 in German Valley, Illinois and died May 17, 1991 in Rock Valley, Iowa.

Funeral services were held for Ralph on Wednesday, May 22, 1991 at First Reformed Church of Rock Valley with interment in Valley View Cemetery, of Rock Valley.

Surviving relatives include: son and daughter-in-law, James and Deanna Denekas; daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Earl De Jong; grandchildren, Steven and Tina Denekas, Kim, Michelle, and David De Jong; brother and sister-in-law, Walter and Louise Denekas; sisters and brother-in-law, Marie and Charles Stacy and Pearl Meyers.

During his lifetime, Rev. Denekas was an ordained minister of the Reformed Church in America. He served for several years as pastor of Hope Reformed Church of George, Iowa.
