Ruth Graham’s parents, George and Maud (Moss) Martin welcomed identical twin girls into their home on August 17, 1911 at rural Logan, Iowa. Ruth and her twin Ruby, eventually became a group of seven brothers and sisters. Their mother died in the 1918 flu epidemic when Ruth was seven and the youngest brother Richard was only three weeks old. The children were then adopted out to various area families. Ruth and her sister Ruby wer place in the Redinbaugh home and became known as the Redinbaugh twins. She graduated in 1931 from the Logan High School and entered nurse’s training in Council Bluffs, Iowa.

Ruth married Lloyd Graham on June 30, 1933 at Woodbine, Iowa. To this union two daughters were born. Ruth was always a tireless worker and much of her lifetime was spent caring for others. She enjoyed her work at Clarkson & University Hospitals in Omaha, Nebraska. She was a tremendous cook and at one time she and her husband Lloyd rand a café. They also ran Gaham’s Appliance for many years. Lloyd passed away from cancer in 1962. Even after her retirement, she became a foster grandparent for several years at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska.

A significant part of her life and personality alswys shown brighter when she could be around babies, children and animals. Her grandchildren were all very precious to her.

Ruth entered George Good Samaritan Center in George, Iowa in March, 1991, her vibrant, strong personality being slowed by Alzheimers’s disease. Music became an important part of her life and was indeed, a belssing in so many ways. Ruth died Tuesday, April 27, 2004 at the George Good Samaritan Center in George, Iowa at the age of 92.

She leaves to guard her precious memories; two daughter, marily and husband Don Hall of George, Iowa, Esther and her husband Pat Dague of Logan Iowa; grandchildren Kirk Hall of LeMars, Iowa, Jan Hall of Chicago, Illinois, Kent Hall of Dunlap, Iowa, Patty Paskalin of Woodbine, Iowa, Tony Dague serving with the United States Air Force in Germany, Kevin Dague of Omaha, Nebraska; five grea-grandchildren, and two step-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Lloyd, two brothers Ralph and Richard, four sisters; Blanche, twin sister Ruby, Florence and Adeline.

Funeral services for Ruth Graham were held Thursday, April 29, 2004 at the Bolin Funeral Home in George Iowa, and later Saturday, May 1, 2004 at the Logan Memorial Chapel in Logan, Iowa. Interment was in Harris Grove Cemtery, Logan, Iowa
