Last rites were held for Mrs. Christian Faber, of Inwood, Lyon county, Iowa, on Wednesday, April 1, 1942 at the Christian Reformed Church in Inwood. The funeral service was conducted by Rev. A. Wassink, pastor of the church.

Mrs. Faber was born in Ee, Netherlands June 22, 1868.

There she was joined in marriage to Mr. Cornelius Faber in 1894. She came to the United States with her family in 1912. They first lived at Kilduff, Jasper county, Iowa. There she made confession of faith in 1914. In 1920 the family moved to Inwood. There she has lived until her death. A little more than a year ago she lost her husband through death.

Mrs. Faber has been ailing because of some internal trouble for about a year. While she was staying at the home of her son, expecting soon to leave for Iowa City for a more thorough examination, her condition suddenly became worse on Friday night. She died Sunday afternoon about 4 o’clock. She had attained the age of 73 years, 9 months and 2 days.

Members of the Consistory acted as pallbearers and interment was had in Richland cemetery beside her late husband.

Her departure is mourned by three children: Mr. Sibolt Faber of Inwood, Mrs. H. Maassen of Larchwood, Iowa and Mr. M. Folkerts of Bellflower, California. Also by a brother, Mr. Henry Zuidema of Sully, Iowa and a sister, Mrs. A. De Ruyter of Lynnville, Iowa
