Funeral services for James Lewis Olson, 61, of Minneapolis, Minnesota, were held November 6, 1992 in Canton Lutheran Church, Canton, South Dakota, with interment in Foresthill Cemetery.

He died Sunday, November 1, 1992 in Racine, Wisconsin.

Mr. Olson was born October 13, 1941, in Inwood, Lyon county, Iowa, and graduated from high school there. He graduated from Morningside College, Sioux City, Iowa, in 1963, and served in the Iowa Army National Guard.

He was employed with Sears, Roebuck Company as a credit manager in several locations in the Midwest. He retired from the Minneapolis branch in 1990.

Survivors include his mother, Edna Olson of Canton, South Dakota; eight brothers, Alfred of Miles City, Montana, George R. of Madison, South Dakota, John of Bloomfield, Colorado, Paul of Sturgis, South Dakota, Rollin of Hawaii, Don of Hamilton, Illinois, Terry of San Diego, California, and Tom of Syracuse, New York, and three sisters, Edna Berg of Rapid City, South Dakota, Mrs. Mike (Margaret) McDougall of Brandon, South Dakota, and Mrs. Duane (Mary) Wiebe of Canton.
