Funeral services for Theran DeBoer, 64, of Doon, Lyon county, Iowa were held August 27, 1992 in First Reformed Church, Doon, with interment in Hillside Cemetery.

He died Tuesday, August 25, 1992 in McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Mr. Deboer was born April 2, 1928 in Sioux Center, Sioux county, Iowa.

On August 19, 1950 he married Wilma Schuiteman in Sioux Center, They farmed near there. His wife died April 11, 1966.

He moved to a farm near Doon in 1968. On November 19, 1968 he married Lillian Van de Berg in Doon. They farmed until retiring and moved to the town of Doon in 1991. He was also a salesman for Five Star Shop Service Company in the Doon area for the past few years.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Alan and Paul, both of Doon, and Leon of Iowa city, Iowa; four daughters, Mrs. Dan (Carla) Roozing of Rock Valley, Iowa, Mrs. Joel (Beth) Flier of Larchwood, Iowa, Arioa DeBoer of Rock Valley and Amy DeBoer of Doon; 11 grandchildren; one brother, Irwin of Sioux Center, and two sisters, Mrs. Marvin (Norma) Korver of Maurice, Iowa and Mrs. Tunis (Ila) Cleveringa of Sioux Center.
