Funeral services for Cornelia “Cora” Brommer, 71, of Ellsworth, Minnesota, were held July 27, 1992 in Zion Presbyterian Church, Ellsworth, with interment in the Bethel Reformed Church Cemetery.

She died July 23, 1992, in McKenna Hospital, Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Cornelia Breemen was born July 14, 1921 in Lyon county, Iowa and attended country school.

On October 6, 1939, she married Berend Brommer. She lived in Ellsworth and was employed with some home health care services. She also worked in the Ellsworth High School cafeteria. Keith’s Clover Farm store and wrote local news for the Ellsworth newspaper. She and her husband owned Ben’s Place for 10 years.

Survivors include her husband; four sons, Bernard of Oakdale, Minnesota, John of Windom, Minnesota, and Robert and Gregory, both of Ellsworth; three daughters, Mrs. Allen (Donna) Wessels of Ellsworth, Mrs. Larry (Carol) Duwenhoeger of Adrian, Minnesota, and Lisa Brommer of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; 12 grandchildren; one great-grandchild and one sister, Nellie Onken of Rushmore, Minnesota.
