Funeral services for Jake DeYoung, 79, of Canton, South Dakota, will be held July 9, 1992 in Bethany Reformed Church, Canton, with interment in Richland Cemetery, Inwood, Lyon county, Iowa.

He died July 5, 1992 in the Canton-Inwood Hospital.

Mr. DeYoung was born October 22, 1912, near Doon, Lyon county, Iowa. On December 19, 1935, he married Jennie Noteboom in Okaton, South Dakota. They farmed in the Fairview, South Dakota, and the Inwood areas until he retired and moved to Canton in 1980.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Paul of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and Richard of Tea, South Dakota; two daughters, Mrs. Charlie (Pearl) Hilt of Canton and Mrs. John (Ruth) Breen of Baltic, South Dakota; 15 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Peter (Jessie) Noteboom and Winnie Noteboom, both of Bellflower, California.
