Funeral services for Arnold Thone, 89, of Beaver Creek, Rock county, Minnesota were held July 1, 1992 at First Baptist Church, Luverne, Minnesota, with interment in Luverne Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

He died June 27, 1992 in the Luverne Community Hospital.

Mr. Thone was born November 8, 1902 in Rock Rapids, Lyon county, Iowa. He attended country school in Iowa and Nettleton College in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. In 1918 the family moved to a farm between Beaver Creek and Hills, both in Rock county, Minnesota

On December 24, 1929 he married Gladys Emmeline Grout in Luverne. They farmed in Rock Rapids until 1937 when they moved to a farm near Beaver Creek.

His wife died in 1967 On December 3, 1973, he married Marvel Ruth Busse in Luverne. He was employed as a cattle feeder and farmed. He was a director of the Beaver Creek State Bank and a member of the Beaver Creek Elevator Board.

Survivors include his wife; one son, Lowell of Chaska, Minnesota; two daughters, Mrs. Russell (Shirley) Roos of Luverne and Mrs. Donald (Daisy) Bergjord of Toronto, South Dakota; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a brother, Clarence of Luverne and two sisters, Mrs. Vera Abrahmson of Madison, South Dakota and Mrs. Anna Finke of Luverne.
