Wessel Van Riesen, 75, of Sanborn, Iowa were held May 4, 1992 at First Reformed Church, Sanborn, with interment in East Lawn Cemetery, Sheldon, Iowa. He died on April 30, 1992.

Mr. Van Riesen was born April 5, 1917, at Steen, Rock county, Minnesota. He grew up and attended school in Rock Rapids, Lyon county, Iowa.

On September 11, 1940 he married Margaret Bomgaars at Middleburg, Sioux county, Iowa. He worked for Armours Egg Company in Sheldon, Iowa for several years. He later drove truck for various trucking firms and then worked in the line of masonry and construction. He lived in Sheldon from 1941 until 1984 when he retired to Sanborn.

Survivors include his wife, four sons, four daughters, 29 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, one brother and one sister, Christian Flier of Rock Rapids.
