Funeral services for Clara S. Hansen, 98, of Hills, Rock county, Minnesota, were held May 11, 1992 in First Presbyterian Church, Luverne, Minnesota with interment in Riverview Cemetery, Rock Rapids, Lyon county, Iowa. She died May 8, 1992 in tuff Memorial Home in Hills, where she was a resident since 1988.

Clara Casche was born December 17, 1893 in Doon, Lyon county, Iowa. She received her education in rural school and at Doon High School. She attended Sioux Falls (South Dakota) College of Music and she moved to Rock Rapids, Lyon county, Iowa in 1917 with her parents. She was a sales lady in Rock Rapids and in Hartley, Iowa until 1919.

On June 18, 1919 she married Leo Hansen. They moved to Hardwick, Minnesota in 1922.

She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary since 1922, Rebecca Lodge, Pythian Sisters, Eastern Star and organized the first ladies aid in 1956 in Hardwick. She was also a 4-H leader for 12 years and wrote and directed nine golden anniversary programs.

Survivors include her husband; one son, Leonard of St. Peter, Minnesota; five grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
