Mildred Bargfrede, age 87, of Worthington, Minnesota, died on Saturday May 2, 1998, at Worthington Regional Hospital. Services were held on Tuesday, May 5, 1998, at Lynch-Dingmann Funeral Home in Worthington.

Mildred Thiesse was born on Sept. 18, 1910 in Little Rock, the daughter of Henry and Augusta (Stopsack) Thiesse. She attended school at Little Rock, Lyon County, Iowa.

On December 11, 1930 she married Lewis Heeren in Little Rock, Lyon County, Iowa. They farmed near Ellsworth, Minnesota. He died in May 1969.

On November 8, 1974 she married Chuck Bargfrede in Nashua, Iowa. They lived in Jackson, Minnesota before moving to Worthington in 1996.

Survivors include her husband; one son, Marlyn Heeren of Luverne, Minn.; five grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; seven stepchildren; 13
stepgrandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Ray (Luella) Kramer of Worthington.
