Gertrude Bos, age 81, of Inwood, Lyon county, Iowa, died on Thursday, April 23, 1998 at Sioux Valley Hospital, Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Services were held on Monday, April 27, 1998, at First Reformed Church, Inwood, with interment in Richland cemetery.

Gertrude Bobeldyk was born on April 7, 1917, in Inwood, the daughter of John and Gertie (Franken) Bobeldyk. On August 25, 1943 she married Lawrence Bos in Camp Beale, California. She worked on a military base in California for one year and for six months in Texas while her husband served in the military.

After her husband was discharged from the military, they farmed near Inwood until their retirement. They moved into Inwood in 1970. She moved to Fellowship Village on November 5, 1997.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Richard and Ronald, both of Inwood; four grandchildren; three brothers: Walter and Eugene, both of Holland, Michigan and Allen of Sioux Falls; and three sisters: Jeanette Van Oort of Rock Valley, Jennie Cnossen of Holland, and Lois Folkerts of Inwood.
