Funeral services for Mrs. Robert (Lydia) Norris, age 81, of Riverside, California, were held Wednesday afternoon, October 14, 1981, at Our Savior's Lutheran church in Inwood, Lyon county, Iowa. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Services were also held on Monday, Oct. 12, 1981, at Riverside funeral chapel. She died on Sunday, October 11 at Riverside, California.

Lydia Stensland was born was born on August 25, 1900 to Ludwig and Matilda Stensland in Centennial township. She graduated from high school in Inwood.

In 1916 she married Minik Marken in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. He preceded her in death. About 20 years ago she moved to Riverside and she married Robert Norris there in 1975.

Survivors include the widower; three sons, Vincent Marken, Riverside, Marzale Marken, Sault Saint Marie, Michigan; and Khel Marken, Minneapolis, Minnesota; two brothers, Griffith, Luverne, Minnesota, and Godfrey, Seattle, Washington; four sisters, Ethelyn Thomas, Long Beach Calif., Jean Bushnell, Bellevue, Washington, Hannah Madland, Seattle, Washington, and serveral other descendants.
