Funeral services for Matilda Olson, 88, were held on January 8, 1992 at the First Lutheran Church of Sioux Falls, Minnehaha county, South Dakota, with later interment at Our Savior’s Lutheran Cemetery near Inwood, Lyon county, Iowa. She died on January 5, 1992 at Palisade Manor in Garretson, Minnehaha county, South Dakota.

Matilda Eiveldsta was born on March 21, 1903 in Norway. On August 17, 1922 she married Reinert Olson in Norway. After their marriage the couple came to the United States and settled on a farm near Inwood. They moved to Sioux Fall, South Dakota in 1945. Her husband died in 1957.

Survivors include four daughters, 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
