Funeral services Mrs. Leona Haan, 82, of Rock Rapids were held this afternoon (Monday) at the United Methodist church. Burial was in Riverview cemetery under the direction of Van Ginkel Funeral Home of Rock Rapids.

She died on Thursday, April 9, 1981 at Merrill Pioneer Community hospital in Rock Rapids.

Leona Alley was born on December 8, 1898 to Lee and Annie (Hammett) Alley, in St. Paul, Minnesota. On March 12, 1919 she married Henry Haan and they farmed in Rock Rapids area before retireing in 1961. She was a charter member of the VFW Auxilliary and a Gold Star Navy Mother.

Survivors include the widower; two sons, John, Toledo, and Charles, Rock Rapids; one daughter, Mrs. Peter (Betty) Menage, Rock Rapids, 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
