Services were held for Glenn H. Preston, age 74, on Febrary 3, 1981 at Springdale, Arkansas. He lived in Rock Rapids, Lyon county, Iowa, for many years. The services were held at Sisco Funeral Chapel, Springdale, with burial in the National cemetery, Fayetteville, Arkansas.

Preston was born at Bridgewater, South Dakota, on March 7, 1906. He married Ethel Phelps in 1932. He served in the Navy during World War II and afterwards went to work in Rock Rapids for the Champlin pipeline terminal. Preston worked for Champlin until his retirement in 1971, when he and Mrs. Preseton moved to Springdale.

In Rock Rapids, Preston served a term on the city council and started development of what is now Beyenhof trailer court. Preston was a member of United Methodist church.

He had been in extremely serious condition for several weeks prior to his death.
