Funeral services for Peter H. Jensen, who had been a resident of the George Good Samaritan Center, were conducted on December 9, 1975 from the Blakjer Lutheran Church of Fenton, Kossuth County, Iowa.

Peter H. Jensen was born in Seneca Township near Fenton, Iowa, the son of Hans and Christine Jorgenson Jensen. He was educated in the local schools and also attended Augustana College in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

On December 22, 1913 he was united in marriage to Martha Jensen and the couple farmed in the Seneca, Kossuth county, Iowa area, where he owned and operated an automobile agency.

In October of 1974 he sustained a broken hip which led to a gradual decline of his health. He and his wife Martha moved to George in December of 1974 where they took up residency in the Good Samaritan Center there. His wife passed away this past October 18. Two weeks ago he was transferred to the Merrill Pioneer Community Hospital in Rock Rapids in Lyon county where he passed away on December 6, 1975, reaching the age of 84 yrs, 8 mnths and 25 days.

Survivors are: his son Perry of George; a daughter Marlys (Mrs. A. W. Kause) of Cherokee, Iowa; 4 grandchildren: Kim and Lorri Krause of Ames, Iowa; Roger Jensen of Primghar, Iowa and Debbie Jensen Chitamber of India. There are also 4 great grandchildren; 2 sisters: Mrs. Guy E. Griffith of Des Moines, Iowa and Mrs. Ben Burch of Columbia, South Carolina.
