Funeral services for Henry H. Stubbe were held Saturday, December 9, 1967 from the Ebenezer Presbyterian Church of George, Lyon county, Iowa. Burial west the same day at the Evergreen Lawn Cemetery west of George.

Henry H. Stubbe was born in Freeport, Stephenson County, Illinois on July 6, 1903 to Hendrik and Antje (Modder) Stubbe and passed away in a Sioux City, Woodbury county, Iowa hospital on December 6, 1967 having reached the age of 64 years and 5 months.

Henry H. Stubbe was united in marriage to Bessie Mae Mammenga on October 19, 1926. To this union four children were born; one son and three daughters. His wife preceded him in death on November 1, 1954.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and two brothers, John H, Stubbe and Herman H. Stubbe.

Survivors are his children; Leone, Mrs. Ray Skillman; Lawrence, and Betty, Mrs. Roger Sprock, all of George; and Viola, Mrs. James Early, of Sioux City; three brothers: Fred H. Stubbe, Enno H. Stubbe and Charles H. Stubbe; three sisters: Anna, Mrs. Adolph Norman of Sibley, Osceola country, Iowa, Esther, Mrs. John H. Hinrichs; and Sena, Mrs. Albert Rustman of George; seven grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

Most of his life was spent in the vicinity of George working on area farms until 1948 when he began to work for the Town of George, a job he held until 1962 when poor health forced him to retire early.
