JOHNSON, MARIE (JOHANNESON) 1889-1962
Passed away at a local hospital Sunday after being hospitalized since April 27. Born December 13, 1889, in Norway. Marie Johanneson married Johannes Johnson December 27, 1906 at Luverne, Minnesota. Came to the US from Norway in 1902, at the age of 13, settling at Inwood, Iowa. Continued living there until 1926, when they moved to the Rowena vicinity. In 1942, she moved into Rowena.

Survived by 3 daughters; Mrs. Albert Kiergaard, Mrs. Caroll Clauson, both of Rowena; Mrs. Knut Anderson, Sioux Falls; 2 sons; Anders, Rowena; Ivan, Sioux Falls; 14 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 1 sister, Mrs. Inga Hoff, Madison. Her husband preceded her in death in September, 1960. Funeral services 2 p.m. Wednesday at Miller Funeral Home, Rev. Selmer Heen officiating. Interment in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
