Funeral services were held Wednesday, October 9, 1968 for Mrs. Gepka Schaa at the First Presbyterian Church of Ashton, Osceola county, Iowa.

Mrs. Gepka Schaa died unexpectedly at her home early October 6. She was born July 9, 1889 in Lyon county, Iowa, the daughter of Tjark Ennenga and Engeline Arends Ennenga. She was married to Fred Schaa on December 7, 1910. They farmed west of Ashton for one year, later moving to the farm where she resided until her death.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1960; her parents; three brother; and three sisters.

Survivors include three sons: Harold and Glenn of Ashton, and Gordon of Little Rock, Lyon county Iowa; and two daughter: Mrs. Donald thiesse of Little Rock and Mrs. Webster Taylor of Minneapolis, Minnesota; 12 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
