Willis Annis Larson was born August 26, 1905 in Adams county, Iowa, the son of Larson O. and Rebecca Johnson.

During his childhood, he attended rural school in Montgomery county and graduated from high school in Grant. He attended business college in Omaha, Nebraska and for many years was a salesman and did service Gospel team work.

In December, 1940 he was united in marriage to Anna Jane Sudenga of George, Lyon county Iowa. The couple served as Sunday School missionaries in Clark, Decatur, Lucas and Wayne counties for a few years. In 1943 he was invited to serve in the office of the Gospel Missionary Union. In 1947, a son, Daniel, entered their home, followed by their caring for 35 children during a period of 10 years. Later he was re-employed in sales work in the southern states and resided in Charlotte, North Carolina.

He is survived by his wife, Ann, son Daniel and wife Sue of Waukegan, Illinois, a sister, Thelma, of Corning, Iowa, a niece, Mrs. Ella Mae John of Kincaid, Kansas. He was a brother-in-law to Mrs. Teresa Smid, Jay and Floyd Sudenga, all of George, and Mrs. Bruce Weatherly of Rock Rapids, Lyon county, Iowa.

Willis A. Larson passed away in a hospital in Corning, Iowa on May 23, 1970. Funeral services were conducted at Corning at 9:30 AM on May 26 and services were also held at the Evangelical United Methodist Church in George that same day at 4:00 PM. Burial was in the Evergreen Lawn Cemetery just west of George.
