WILKA, WILLIAM - 1885-1953
Final services for William Wilka 68, retired Rt. 2 farmer who died while en route to a local hospital Monday following a brief illness, will be held at the Zion Lutheran Church at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. G.A. Troemel will officiate. Mrs. E. Hoellworth will be organist. Burial under the direction of the Miller Funeral Home, will be in Hills of Rest Memorial Park.

Born in Alvord, Iowa, June 16, 1885, Mr. Wilka moved to a farm near Larchwood, Iowa, after his marriage to Elizabeth Seel, in Remsen, Iowa. on March 6, 1918. Mr. Wilka moved to a farm in the Pukwana area in 1923, to a farm in the Larchwood area in 1935, and moved to his present farm in 1942.

He is survived by his widow; three daughters, Mrs. Verna Nelson and Mrs. Maurice Manifold, Sioux Falls, and Myrtle, Colorado Springs, Colorado; two sons, Lloyd and Harold, Sioux Falls; five sisters, Mrs. William Middlen, Mrs. Frank Wiegman and Ann, Sioux Falls; Mrs. Louis Heyer, Larchwood, Iowa and Mrs. Ernest Grotewold, Pipestone, Minnesota, and four grandchildren.
