QUIST, HAROLD 1921-1950
Harold R. Quist Air Force Veteran, Dies here at 29

Harold R. Quist, 29, of 3009 South Norton Ave., Sioux Falls, died Friday morning at the Royal C. Johnson Veterans hospital following a long illness.

Funeral services have been set for 2 p.m. Monday at the First Covenant church with the Rev. F. A. Ericson, officiating. The body will lie at the Barnett Funeral chapel until Monday noon. Burial will be at Larchwood, Iowa

Mr. Quist had been a civilian employee at the National air guard hangar for the past two years, serving as an airplane electrician. he served in the US airforce from February 1944 to May 1947.

Born July 7, 1941, at Pipestone, Minnesota. Mr. Quist moved to Larchwood where he was reared and lived for 25 years. He married the former Amber McMonagle, January 14, 1944, at Rock Rapids, Iowa. He was a member of the First Covenant Church and the American Legion.

Survivors include the widow; his mother, Mrs. Anna Quist, Long Beach, California,; two daughters, JoAnn, 6, and Barbara Jean, 3; two sisters, Mrs. M. L. Stillwagen of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Mrs. Ellen Merriman, of Huntington Park, California.
