February 1953 - Dennis Quinlivan, 86, Dies at Home

Dennis Quinlivan, 86, retired Larchwood, Iowa, area farmer, died at his home at 1504 S. Euclid Ave., illness. He came here a year ago when he retired from farming.

Born in Dubuque, Iowa, December 18, 1866, Mr. Quinlivan moved to Larchwood as a small boy. He married Ellen Ashmour in Larchwood, October 2, 1897.

Mr. Quinlivan attended Christ The King Church and was a member of the Foresters and Knights of Columbus.
A son, Francis, preceded him in death in 1937.

Survivors are his widow; three sons, Everett, Bremerton, Washington; George, Larchwood, and James, Sioux Falls; five daughters Mrs. Iver Swanson, Mrs. J.E. Bruggeman and Mrs. Milo Madison, Sioux Falls; Sister Mary Leonarda, Detroit, and Mrs. Gene Doman, El Monte, California; a brother, Denver; 12 grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
