Curtis Riley, 38, Larchwood, Dies
A brief illness preceded the death at a local hospital Friday night of Curtis P. Riley, 38, who had farmed near Larchwood and worked for John Morrell and Co. for the past year.

Born at Granite, Iowa, December 14, 1918, Mr. Riley's home had been in Sioux Falls from 1942 until 1948. He served in the Navy in the pacific Theater during two of those years, 1944-1946.

His marriage to Doris Servold took place at Sibley, Iowa, July 27, 1940. He was a member of the Rowena Methodist Church.

Survivors are his widow; two sons, Curtis C. 16; and Russell, 6; a daughter, Julie Jean, 14, and three brothers, Lyle, Sioux Falls; Kenneth, Des Moines, and Howard, Nampa, Idaho.
Funeral services will be held at the Miller Funeral Home. Time will be announced later.

Burial will be in Larchwood. (April 1957)
