Martha Riebeling, 89, of George died Monday, Oct. 28, 2002, at Country View Manor, Sibley.
Memorial services were Friday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, George, with interment in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, Hull.
Martha Sohl was born April 15, 1913, near Hull, the daughter of Henry and Meta (Ahrens) Sohl. She attended country school near Hull.
On Feb. 20, 1935, she married Alfred Riebeling. They farmed in the Hull, George and Ashton areas. After their retirement, they lived in Ashton.
After the death of her husband, she moved to George. She later moved to Christian Retirement Home in Sheldon. In June 2002, she became a resident of Country View Manor.
Survivors include four sons, Dwayne of Newport News, Va., Merlyn of St. Paul, Minn., Larry of Ashton and Roger of Sibley; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and one stepbrother, Vernon Schmidt of Sioux Falls, S.D.
She was preceded in death by her husband, four brothers, three sisters, seven stepbrothers, one halfsister and one stepsister.
