Ethel Schindler, 91, of Sibley died Sunday, Oct. 20, 2002, at Country View Manor, Sibley.
Services were Wednesday at Walton-Roste Funeral Home, Sibley, with interment in Gilman Cemetery, Ashton.
Ethel Grave was born Jan. 22, 1911, in Lyon County, the daughter of John and Anna (Trei) Grave. She grew up and attended school in Dale Township, graduating from Ashton Public School in 1929.
On July 2, 1930, she married Marvin Schindler in Rock Rapids. They lived in Ashton until moving to Spirit Lake in 1950. She worked in Berkley making fishing lures. They later moved to Sibley.
Her husband died Jan. 1, 1977.
Survivors include one sister, Mrs. Ray (Myrtle) Roben of Sun City West, Ariz.; one grandson and one great-granddaughter.
