Mrs. Irene Siebrands was born on July 29, 1917 at rural George, Iowa, the daughter of Behrend and Martha (Kruse) Schrick. She was a life-long resident of the George area.

She married Ben Siebrands on June 1, 1941 at George, Iowa and they farmed near George. SHe was an active member of the Central Baptist Church.

Funeral services were held on April 23, 1988 at Central Baptist Church in George, Iowa. [No death date was given.]

She leaves to cherish her memories: her husband, Ben; four children: Mrs. Martys Ackerman of Bloomington, Minnesota; Dick Siebrands of Phoenix, Arizona; Paul Siebrands of George, Iowa; and Alda Siebrands of Coos Bay, Oregon; four grandchildren: Jill Carlson, Todd Ackerman, Kimberley Siebrands and Trena Siebrands; one brother, Melvin Schrick of George, Iowa; three sisters: Mrs. Anna Duin of George, Iowa; Mae (Mrs. Elmer Kersten) of George, Iowa; and Mrs. Ruth Tirrel of Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Burial was in Evergreen Lawn Cemetery, George, Iowa.

Vogelaar-Bolin Funeral Service of George, Iowa was in charge of arrangements.
