Funeral services for Henry E. Kruse, age 69, of George, Iowa, were held on Saturday at Hope Reformed Church, George, with burial in the church cemetery.

Henry was born on March 26, 1921, near White, South Dakota, the son of Eilert P. and Ida (Kanengieter) Kruse. He moved to the George area as a child and attended country schools.

On August 29, 1945 he married Mae Siebrands at the Hope Reformed parsonage at George, Iowa. The couple farmed west of George and Mr. Kruse was also an electrician. In 1990 the couple retired into town. Henry was active in the Hope Reformed Church, serving as both a Deacon and an Elder.

He died on Thursday January 31, 1991 at the Osceola Community Hospital in Sibley, Iowa, at the age of 69 years, 10 months and 6 days.

Survivors include his wife Mae of George; two nephews, Dwayne Siebrands of Sheldon and Alan Siebrands of Good Thunder, Minnesota, and one sister, Mrs. Mattie Fisher of George, Iowa. Three sisters-in-law, Mrs. Margaret Kruse of George, Mrs. Arlys Kruse of Little Rock, Iowa, Mrs. Donna Kruse of Rock Rapids, Iowa, one brother-in-law, Peter and his wife Georgia Siebrands of Payson, Arizona.

He was preceded in death by his parents, by three brothers, Peter, John and Andrew; and by two sisters, Lena and Annie.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, February 2, 1991 at Hope Reformed Church, rural George, Iowa. Burial was in the Hope Reformed Cemetery. Arrangements were by the Bolin Funeral Service of George.
