Henry "Hank" Krull Jr. was born July 25, 1913 at rural George, Iowa, the son of Henry and Abbie (Sprock) Krull, Sr. He grew up and attended country school in the George area.

On December 22, 1939, Hank married Margaret Siebrands of George. Hank then worked on a farm between George and Little Rock, Iowa. In 1942 Hank and Margaret moved to their farm in Edna, where they spent the next 19 years. In 1961 they moved to a farm near Luverne, Minnesota.

His family remembers him as a farmer who never really retired from his Life's work. He continued to be involved with the farming operation even though he had difficulty walking and he would use his pickup and came to get into the tractor.

Hank loved his family and grandchildren, and appreciated the times spent with them helping with the milking or other chores around the farm. His grandchildren remember him always wearing bib overalls and they liked carrying the milk and riding the tractor.

During his years of farming Hank used John Deere equipment and he has kept his first John Deere tractor on the farm.

Two years ago Hank suffered a stroke, but with the loving care of his family he was able to live his remaining days at home. Last Tuesday, June 5, 2001, Hank died peacefully in his sleep at the age of eighty-seven years, 10 months and 10 days.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, June 7, 2001 at American Reformed Church of Luverne, Minnesota, with Rev. David Sikkena officiating. Burial was in the Hope Reformed Cemetery, George, Iowa. Roste Funeral Home of Hills was in charge of arrangements.
