Funeral services were held at the home and at Hope Reformed Church on Tuesday for Elvina Margaret Siebrands, age 25, the eldest daughter of Dick and Trentje (Goldhorn) Siebrands, who reside on a farm northwest of George, Iowa. Elvina was one of the popular young ladies of this community, and her sudden death came as a great shock to her many friends.

On Sunday she was still in her usual place, teaching her Sunday School class and on the following Saturday she was dead. For some time in the past there were periodic spells of illness and severe headaches, but not long enough at any time to cause any real concern. Not until very shortly before her death was the seriousness of this malady realized. She supposedly passed away due to a tumor of the brain.

She was born in the vicinity of George, Iowa, on July 25, 1911. She passed away on the first day of August, 1936, attaining the age of 25 years and one week.

She is survived by her parents and grandparents, three brothers, namely Ben, Laurence and Richard; three sisters, namely Margaret, Leota and LaVonne, besides many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held for Elvina Siebrands on Tuesday, August 4th, 1936 at the home and from there to the Hope Reformed Church of George, Iowa. Interment was made in the Hope Reformed Cemetery. Rev. Koenen was in charge of the services, and Vogelaar Funeral Service was in charge of the burial.

Elvina was engaged to be married, at the time of her death.
