Eilert Goldhorn was born on September 25, 1903 at rural George, Iowa. He was the son of Ben and Margaret (Harms) Goldhorn. He attended Liberal Township Country School.

He married Anna Jansen on June 4, 1927 at the Hope Reformed Church. He was employed at Bruns Motor and Siebring Manufacturing before moving to a farm northwest of George. He retired from farming in 1968, and was employed part-time at Sudenga Industries. He was a member of the Hope Reformed Church, serving on the Consistory. He also served as a Director of Rural Schools.

He died on Saturday, February 14, 1998 at the George Good Samaritan Center, at the age of 94 years.

He leaves to cherish his memory, two daughters, Arlys Krull and husband Kenneth of George, Iowa, and Mavis Niebruegge of George. Also are six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one brother, Alvin Goldhorn of Cherokee, Iowa.

Eilert was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; three brothers; five sisters; twin sisters in infancy; and one great-grandson.

Interment was in the Hope Reformed Cemetery at George, Iowa. Arrangements were by Bolin Funeral Service of George, Iowa.
