Ben Dreesen was born December 8, 1919, at rural Little Rock, Iowa, the son of Ben and Antje (Henderks) Dreesen. He was a life long resident of the Little Rock area. He attended country school.

He married Caroline Siebrands on January 5, 1944. To this union four children were born. They farmed north of Little Rock. He was a member of the Salem Reformed Church.

He died on Thursday, June 17, 1993, at the M.P.C. Hospital in Rock Rapids, Iowa, at the age of 73 years, 6 months, and 10 days.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Caroline, of Little Rock, Iowa; one son, Robert and wife Shawn, of Little Rock, Iowa; two daughters, Barbara and husband David Becwar, of Ferryville, Wisconsin; and Julia and husband, Mike Moorman, of Adrian, Minnesota. Also left to cherish his memories are two grandchildren, Aaron and Morgan; and one sister, Miss Grace Dreesen, of Little Rock.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one infant son, John Dale; five brothers, and one sister.
