Alfred Hansmann was born June 6, 1902 at George, IA, the son of Henry Sr. and Anna (Uliyzch) Hansmann. He was a long time resident of the George area and he attended country school there.

He married Alvina Siebrands on March 6, 1929 at George, IA. They farmed north of George until moving to town in 1956. He was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church. He was a resident of the George Community Good Samaritan Center since March of 1991. He died there on Saturday, Dec. 14, 1991, at the age of 89 years, six months and nine days.

He leaves to cherish his memories: one daughter, Lavonne and husband Ted Molitor of Sibley, IA; one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Joan Hansmann of George, IA; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one sister, Anna and husbdand O.R. Johnson of George, IA.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Alvina; son Marlyn; infant daughter Evelyn; two brothers, Edward and Henry; one sister, Elsie and one infant sister.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday in Immanuel Lutheran Church, George, IA, with interment in Evergreen Lawn Cemetery.
